The Woman II educational project of European Commission is presented. The project Woman II is a continuation of Woman I project carried out in years 1998–2000 by 4 centres in 3 countries. After the Woman I project was successfully completed and its results were accepted, the need for its enlargement and distribution over the European Union was proposed. Project Woman II is carried out in 16 centers in 13 countries.
The aim of the project is the improvement of clinical effectiveness and continuity of care in the menopausal field. The Woman services are addressed to women in perimenopausal age and health professionals involved in the topic of menopause.
